The Ubergeek Kelly’s Blog theme (the code that controls the basic layout and design) is getting a bit long in the tooth. Mostly this boils down to the WordPress theme I’m using (Twenty fourteen, one of the WordPress ‘bundled’ themes) being a decade old.
Everything still looks okay in my opinion, but there are some technical hiccups due to the theme’s older technology. It is producing some unusual behaviours with newer browsers like Chrome, for example. And I suspect it is having some trouble dealing with newer plugins I have installed.
So it is time for a change, although I will be aiming to keep the general ‘look’ of my blog similar to what it is now. Expect some disruptions as I experiment and adjust things beginning later tonight (Friday, October 4).
