Blogging is something I have done since sometime before 2000, but officially using WordPress with the kgadams.net URL since March of 2003.

One thing I’ve never been, however, is a frequent blogger. I’m going to try to change that, especially now that I’ve split off a separate motorcycle related “topic” blog (https://geekonaharley.org) and plan to add another with my gaming posts sometime this year. To that end I’ve decided to take a bit of a leap and join up with Blaugust, an annual blogging community ‘festival’ to encourage… well, the blogging community 🙂

The basic idea of Blaugust: post to your blog more frequently and/or consistently during the month of August. The ‘ideal’ is to post daily, but that will definitely not be my goal this year. I’m aiming for weekly- i.e.: a total of four posts between my two blogs. My personal ‘stretch’ goal is four blog posts to each blog or a total of eight. This post ‘counts’, so I’m already on my way!

I’m happy I joined up, Aywren! Setting aside the inspiration to post regularly, I’m finding the Discord channels to be really interesting / fun / helpful. I hadn’t really considered that prior to signing up…

Yay! Welcome into the fold ?

      Thank you, Jaedia!

I was going to attempt some humour regarding ‘folding’ and ‘fitted sheets’, but it wasn’t as funny written out as it did in my head 🙂

Can’t argue with a confident man, with a plan. Good luck. Enjoy Blaugust.

I’m not sure about ‘confident’, but I will simulate said confidence as best I can.

The accounting at the end of the month will show if my ‘faking’ was sufficient to ‘make it’ 😉

So like many people who retire and no longer do anything, you are now going to write and tell everyone about what you aren’t doing 😉

    1. Kelly Adams

      Exactly, Chris! 🙂

Thankfully I’m not productive enough even in retirement to produce a post per day for each of my blogs. Irene plus my natural tendency towards over-analysis and procrastination mean a couple per week is likely to be my upper limit.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I’m looking forward to reading all kinds of stuff this month. Glad to make your acquaintance!
