My old PHPNuke personal site had some nice features. I had no real intention of throwing them away when I switched over to WordPress here, but I also had no idea how I was going to get them back.

But any reasonably popular piece of open source software has a huge supply of add ins and extensions, and WordPress is no exception. To start the rebuilding process, I picked one of my favorite features to restore: the random picture from my gallery section. I dug up a couple of samples and guidelines for integrating the php Nuke random block for Gallery into a WordPress site. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work with my older version of Gallery (v1.3.3), so I had to make a few adjustments.

The site I linked to above gives the basic idea, and the files I’ve attached in zipped format here
